I am officially a diploma holder!

Congrats to myself, and to all the other 2011 graduates who has successfully walk through these 3 years of poly life despite the ups and downs.

I felt something which I thought I'd never felt; the feeling between "I am performing on stage" and "I am going on stage to receive my certificate". The latter was pretty unexpected. Before that I was like, "it's gonna be the same old feeling like performing on stage, againnnn, whatsmore the stage is my brother lah." Instead, for once, the stage is a stranger.

I am feeling anxious and excited for that few seconds that includes walking to the center of the stage, shake hands, smile into camera, and head off. Just that few seconds, I swear, it has became the most precious moment in my life. :')

How exactly that feels? Hmm, in my parents' perception but using my simple logic, it's like seeing a baby hamster grow up from a tiny red fetus to a fat animal. The growth stages, the patience are all priceless. I pretty much think that's how my parents were feeling, their baby girl has grew up and is 20 now and has just graduated.

So, I felt really happy to see all my friends sharing the same joy as I do, but the thought of us might be distanced apart sooner or later kills my heart. Who says we can't find true friends in poly? Well I did, if you don't, you just simply suck. :)

Great. My first day of a new chapter. Got to start my brain engine and get down to serious business now!

Tomorrow will be a new beginning to a new phase of life.

3 years ago, I complaint so much about doing powerpoint slides every single day, having a learning system that starts from 9am to 5pm, the daily 2 and a half hours of break is really still not enough, tasked to complete worksheets and sometimes the questions are either short but difficult or long but easy... well well well.... 3 years later, I am graduating in less than 24 hours' time.

This journey has taught me so much, making me realized so many new things. Be it studies, dance, friends, emotions, they all meant something to me and has definitely help me in my growing up stage.

Studies:
I had a 2.8 GPA during Year 1, I thought I could maintain that way throughout, but apparently I was wrong. Haha. It dropped to 2.6 (rounded up) at the end of the third year, but I am still pleased to know that I only had 2 Ds among the numerous modules I had.

Nobody likes studying, for me, it's a yes and no. Yes to the ones I dearly loved, No to the others that I truly hated. But one thing I learned for sure, is that no matter what we're doing, nothing starts easy, everything will started out to be difficult at first. It's up to us to decide whether we want to see things positively- which is that things might turn out good, or negatively- which is things that might give us a hell time. I'm glad I decided to hang on to tough times and managed to pull through.

For this, I am proud of myself, proud of my motivation and my constant belief in myself.

Dance:
I never regretted joining Hiphop IG (SGC) during Year 1. I remembered clearly the reason why I want to be in. Die-die must get in. I knew I have wasted my teenager youth on other stuffs with lesser interest, when dancing is my love. I knew I wouldn't have a chance to dance again when I stepped into the working society, or probably when I grow up. I don't want to miss this chance anymore. I.Am.So.Gonna.Dance. And because of this constant reminder that "When we grow older, we've more responsibilities and dancing might not even be possible by then", I stayed in SGC for 3 years... and counting :)

SGC has given me much opportunities to perform on stage, push me to my limit to improve myself, going for battles, learn different genres --- these are the physical part.
SGC has also taught me many reasoning of life; loving people, bonding with people, disliking people, unhappiness, fun times, enjoyable yet tiring practices, different thinking in everyone's mind, the should dos and shouldn't dos, politics, economics, people to work with, ways to handle people... oh gosh they just go down the list --- these are mentally involved in me.

But I must be grateful, especially to the first batch of SGC, and probably the "ancestors" of SGC, SMC. They taught me so many things and they're to be seen as my second family. I really wanna thank Rey CA Syafiq KelvinT JC Thumb Matt Abang Jason Jiawei Ash Dehui Suling CherieC Shijia Junhao DY Yauming. They consists the "ancestors", first and second batch of SGC. They guided me through so much. Ups and downs, emotionally, physically, anything, sexually definitely... I srsly learned so much..

Of course, not forgetting the ones from third batch onwards. Muz Sajuto Sanjit Nat Imky Fara CherieW Raizal Jon Aisyah Shark Melow. Because your batch is different from us, that makes you guys special. In fact, each batch are special in some ways. You all allowed me to see things in many different ways. You guys have your own belief, stick to it. I know you guys can do it one day. One day. but just don't forget about us/me.. :)

From dance, I learn that there are endless possibilities in many things we do; we just have to take time to explore and know what we rly want or up to. And there is no right or wrong in anything we do, just that it gonna make some sense and better be the best choice. There are times we fall together, and that's the time we should hold each other and stand right up together; that's what SGC is about; one family, one love.

There're so many things I wanna say about SGC, but it just slowly slipped off my mind.. getting old..

One thing that'll never slipped off my mind, is my love for SGC.

Once a SGC, forever a SGC.

Friends:
I've made a lot of new friends, considering I have to change class almost everyday from Year 2 onwards and plus the same old cliques during Year 1. I'm so happy my number of friends increased so much over the years! Reason being, who likes to be alone? Haha, but the main reason is I get to find friends that I could categorized them under just-friends, friends, good friends, close friends, best friends, true friends, forever friends. Haha I'm serious shit.

I've seen friends with the worst attitude/character, or the ones with really great personality. But however different each of them can be, I always believe in one thing: Accept who you are, not what you are. No matter how bad you can be, I wouldn't blame you because you're born this way! Easy! Simple reason like this. (Except for people who really is annoying, and is not by nature, THAT is a total different story)

Again, learning things from different friends. Some people can be really stubborn, some can be lovely and understanding, some are those with listening ears, some who're totally NOT a listener, some are quiet in disguise, some are totally different when in sch and outside... many more! shesssh...

Well, remember, the people we met have stories behind them, don't hate because they're annoying to you, don't expect to totally love them because you've to! But just stay neutral and like and accept the people around you. Btw, don't hate, it's a waste of time and energy.

I'm glad I've my circle of friends, especially that lovable clique of people.

It was definitely an enriching experience for me, and to be able to go through the audition round and be at Top 16, I think it is a good but could be done much more better. I am pretty disappointed in myself, that my ears shut on me on the wrong time and the layers in the music seems to merge to become one, not allowing me to interpret them out. Very disappointed much. I felt my audition round did so much better... I know there is gonna be the next time but, I always set every single battles an expectation to reach, and for Floor The Love this time round, I failed to meet it.

Well it has ended so I should get over it then. Gonna move on and start training on my musicality wherever and whenever I have my earpiece plugged in my ears.

I am back from my long-awaited holiday at Phuket. These 4 days 3 nights really meant and helped a lot to me, physically and mentally. I'm glad I'm away from the world and be with my love to enjoy the timeless moments together.

However, life is back to normal. The things that are being put aside and ignored, are just period. Now that my holiday is over, I am starting to plan things all over again. But I am doing this wholeheartedly with a motivation behind me; our next goal ahead. :)

Yesterday could be another best day spent over at Jason's 21st advanced bday chalet. I am thankful for the good company I am with because they make me feel life is really good. It's not an overrated wild night, but just that once-in-a-while fun makes me feel that I kinda like chalets, no matter how filthy how tired we all can be/are, the fun is always there. I like the coziness when everyone comes together, and also getting to know new friends around. Oh god I really love these bunch of people, and among these people, I am happy to know that I have big brothers around, which I always wanted to have (not one but a few) :)

Exams are next week and as well as marking it as my last week in school.
(Really praying hard I will not be staying back for whatsoever reasons but will be happily graduating on May, yay)

These 3 years passed so fast, and I was in a serious dilemma of what I can do next. But thankfully, that almost-months of dilemma came to an end with me having a wonderful and flawless plan for myself in the next 3 years.

You saw that. Wonderful and flawless. I know it definitely won't be easy. How we all wish life was an easy one too huh? But still, I am sticking to my plan, and working towards it!!

The time ahead is really crucial for my future. Feeling lazy to study, not motivating enough, distracted... these all should come to an end too.

Best of luck to me please, because I realized I rarely have that in my 20 years of living.

I've this huge feeling that 2011 is not gonna be easy for me; after graduation and the decision to study at SIM. I might be wasting a year to retake my 'O' level English cuz godamnit I didn't retake for these 3 years in poly, and seeing the requirements for enrolling into the courses I want, I know I have to retake my 'O' English. Blame on why do I did so badly just for 'O' levels, yet did so freaking well for the rest of the exams. It's going to be tough, cuz I know my family is stubborn, esp Dad. It's so pressurized whenever I think of that. But I gonna face it. Real soon. I need support. Really, a lot of support.

Seriously, I am very into this show!! I know, I am damn slowwww... but you should know I hardly have any time to even sit down and catch a drama. But when my mom bought Boys Over Flowers vcds, I actually stayed at home and watch it like some typical korean freak girl HAH.

Kim Hyun Joong, korean's Zai Zai, but so much cuter than Taiwan's version. He is so talented! He's from SS501? And he plays the violin. *Melts*

Koo Hye-seon, I can't believe she's 26 and she looks like a young girl like the age of 20. Her complexion is seriously great and she doesn't need much but minimal make up when she's filming this show. She's perfecttttt and cutttee!!

When I first touch on Waacking was during the first waacking choreography for the Momentum performance around May. Before that, I thought it would be nice to try it out, since people around me are either encouraging me to go for it or even commenting that it is an advantage since my hand is long. Then came Melissa meow as a waacker herself too. So... why not?

My first (nervous) waacking item I've done during Momentum this year.

And, it's a surprising news that I'm still into this! Instead of hip hop, which I am trained in since year 1, I actually had much courage to go for my first (waacking) battle, which I only had 4 months or less of training in it! Not bragging, but I actually love it! :)

While I was typing my birthday post, somewhat I can't bear to hit the Publish button, because despite me having really nice birthday celebrations, but on the other side of Singapore, something bad happened to my dearest friend. Nothing beats feeling upset of losing a friend whom is once close to me...

He's a nice friend. A friend whom chatted on my on the phone during primary school days, a friend whom I've a crush on, or probably most of the girls do. He was a playful yet funny boy. His smile I can never forget, that innocent cheerful smile... I love his eyes, because they're watery and he has long eye lashes. He's so tanned, that is maybe why I've like tanned boys. I still remember the way he played basketball, and him always wearing PE attire. He is always making everyone laugh. He whom shared the love of this band back then with me. He, who is one of our cliques.

We have not been seeing each until I saw him in school, and I regretted much why I didn't speak to him when I see him. Twice. I was afraid he can't remember me. I was afraid he has changed. I was afraid we might feel awkward when we speak. Because I have so many afraids, I regretted now. It's too late to regret, too late to say "I should have". I couldn't even get the chance to speak to him nor hear his voice again. Never ever.

I am very shocked to hear this terrible news. Though we ain't that close, but a tiny emptiness in me is formed, I feel lost. I wish it wasn't you, I wish no one was even hurt. I wish you can fly away from that tragedy. I wish you just weren't there. I wish those guys will not bring weapons and maybe having the intention to attack. I wish everything never happen.

When I see you inside, I couldn't bear to give a second glance at you, because I can't believe you're lying in there, you're gone...You're too young to die, Darren. You shouldn't even be in there.

On a brighter note, I know you've became an angel now. You're your family and friends' guardian angel. You're a kind soul, a good friend, a nice guy to have a crush on... Be free in the clouds, lead them to the light when they're in the dark...

Definitely, I never regretted for going to the battle. I stepped out of my comfort zone. I never knew the outcome will be surprising but I know that I still have a lot to learn.

He was right, there will be people questioning and doubting my abilities to be able to reach that position, but I am going to work hard and prove them wrong the next time. However, I believe it's still the "beginner's luck" that helped me along.

I am never ready, no one is. I started off just exactly 5 months ago, this genre just interest me and with the encouragements from everyone, I decided to give it a try. I wish I had more time and better management before the battle starts.

I'm happy I scored well for both Sales Management and Marketing at UT3, got B and B+. I reaped what I sow!! Btw, a new semester starts next week! I am going to buck up my gpa for the last time!

Anw, MUSE happen to fall on my birthday this time round! I won't be expecting any surprises or what because this year, it is special enough to be able to celebrate my birthday on stage and with the presence of SGC! Boyf will be spinning for Halloween event on the same day too ... so... i hope he spins something niceeee specially dedicated to me?........k, I must be dreaming.

One more week and it marks the end of my Year 3 1st semester! FYP has definitely ate up almost our time, which we could be wasting this time either dancing or have fun! Despite us the busy bees concentrating on FYP, I think it's kinda worth it. I've learnt soooo much about PHP coding and guess what....I think I like PHP coding. <:O Surprise much?

Oh yah, I'm involved in MUSE this year again. I can't seem to not perform for once! Bearing in mind the fact that "I'm graduating next year and I might not know where I will be once I grad out of this sch", I'm so afraid I can't perform with SGC again :( Yah, and when I decide to perform, this means some fraction of my time will be contributed to dance and I have to balance the rest between FYP and my poor boyfriend. I'm not gonna neglect him again!:)

Put aside these school shits. Back to main topic, HOLIDAY IS COMING. Time to study hard for UT3 and pull up my grades! Last year to be a study geek 8)

I am going through the WORST MIND-CRASHING WEEK EVER.

Another Momentum, another fun, another experience gained. Every year brings different goals, emotions and atmosphere. another year of audition has passed, and soon, i'm going to see the actual new faces of the 4th batch of SGC freshies. damn, look at my juniors, they have improved soooo much as compared to their audition, and they juniors are going to be responsible for handling the freshies soon. Time flies, i always say this. It's amazing how fast time flies, and i was sitting at the judges table judging the freshies, seeing them is like seeing myself 2 years back. i'm old.
